We're adapting our services

Out of consideration for the health of our visitors, the Museum and Archives will be closed to the public until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, even while our buildings are closed, we are working hard to deliver heritage services to the South Okanagan. Some of these include:

More online offerings

We are planning a number of ways to engage with our members via social media and our website. Keep your eyes peeled for activities, videos, articles, featured artifacts, a virtual Museum tour, and more!

Research

We will be accepting research requests by phone and email according to our usual fee schedule. Requests by K-12 students for school projects are always free.

Help for teachers

We will be offering assistance to teachers who need virtual field trips or lesson plans. Our specialty is, of course, B.C. history and the geology and nature of this area. We also provide custom education programs, which will now be delivered virtually.

And of course, during this time we are continuing to care for and preserve our artifact and archival collections.

We look forward to welcoming our members, visitors, and volunteers back again in the near future. In the meantime, we wish everyone the best of health and safety at this stressful time.
